Tanna Jo Kolb, Miss Deaf Kansas hails from Wichita, Kansas. Tanna Jo is a junior student at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. Her major is in Business. Tanna Jo’s platform is to have deaf people to go "green" as a part of saving the Earth.

As an Ambassador for the Kansas Association of the Deaf, Tanna Jo has the following responsibilities:

• Honoring her role as Miss Deaf Kansas

• Representing the Deaf community state-wide

• Promoting the Kansas Association of the Deaf through
her appearances in various events.

Tanna Jo will compete in the Miss Deaf America Pageant in New Orleans on July 7-11 2008, at the 49th Biennial Convention of the National Association of the Deaf (NAD). The winner of Pageant will be an important role model to and for the Deaf Community in America. She will represent Deaf Americans throughout the nation; through speeches, press interviews, possible TV appearance and much more.

By giving financial support, you will make it possible for us to send Tanna Jo Kolb to New Orleans, this summer to represent Kansas. You also will help us fund the next Miss Deaf Pageant in 2009.
